Sean Maloney Presents Meat: The Meat Loaf Experience
In 1973, a meeting between Wagnerian rock-opera composer Jim Steinman and 300 pound Texan singer/actor Marvin Meat Loaf Aday would be the beginning of one of the greatest rock 'n' roll legends of all time. At that first meeting, an audition for Steinman's More Than You Deserve’musical, Steinman declared: "This is the voice I’ve been waiting for!"”
Quickly realising that their future lay in records rather than theatre, the two set about creating their magnus opus, Bat Out Of Hell . Containing the classic hits You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth , Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad , mini-opera Paradise by the Dashboard Light ”and of course, the rousing ten-minute title track, the album would go on to sell over 35 million copies worldwide, and establish the duo at the top of the rock tree.
Despite success apart, Steinman and Meat Loaf reunited in colossal style (what other kind is there?) for 1993's Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell which instantly became a classic, and spawned the pair’s biggest hit to date I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) .
October 2006 saw the release of part three in the saga, when Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose became yet another smash hit success. Featuring such epics as It's All Coming Back To Me Now and Blind As A Bat it's clear that Meat Loaf is still a force to be reckoned with!
